Après avoir participé à l’audience privée accordée par le Saint-Père, la délégation de la Fondation Internationale Religions et Sociétés s’est entretenue avec Son Excellence Monseigneur  Edgar Edgar Peña Parra, Substitut de la Secrétairerie d’État, le 7 novembre 2025, dans son bureau au Vatican. Cette rencontre visait à échanger sur les modalités pratiques de renforcement de la collaboration existante entre le Saint-Siège  et la Fondation à travers les activités qu’elle porte autour des deux domaines, à savoir l’amélioration de la qualité de l’éducation catholique en Afrique et le renforcement de la coopération missionnaire et pastorale entre les Églises du Sud et les Églises du Nord.

Pendant la rencontre qui a duré plus d’une heure, les deux parties ont pris le temps de passer en revue des projets en cours et l’intérêt de ceux-ci pour l’Église universelle. Compte tenu de l’importance des missions de la Fondation Internationale Religions et Sociétés pour l’Église universelle, Son Excellence Monseigneur  Edgar Edgar Peña Parra, Substitut de la Secrétairerie d’État a promis de désigner une personne qui aura la charge, au nom du Saint Siège, de veiller à collecter le soutien matériel aux activités de la Fondation Internationale Religions et Sociétés. La délégation s’est réjouie de cette avancée et a remercié le Saint-Siège pour cette disponibilité bienveillante à son égard.

The delegation of the International Foundation for Religions and Societies met with His Excellency Archbishop Edgar Edgar Peña Parra.

After taking part in the private audience granted by the Holy Father, the delegation of the International Foundation Religions and Societies met with His Excellency Archbishop Edgar Edgar Peña Parra, Substitute for the Secretariat of State, on 7 November 2025 in his office. The purpose of this meeting was to discuss practical ways of strengthening the existing collaboration between the Holy See and the Foundation through its activities in two key areas: improving the quality of Catholic education in Africa and reinforcing missionary and pastoral cooperation between the Churches of the South and the North.

During the meeting, which lasted more than an hour, both parties took the time to review ongoing projects and their importance for the universal Church. Given the significance of the mission of the International Foundation Religions and Societies for the universal Church, His Excellency Archbishop Edgar Edgar Peña Parra, Substitute for the Secretariat of State, promised to appoint a person who, on behalf of the Holy See, will be responsible for ensuring the collection of support for the activities of the International Foundation Religions and Societies. The delegation welcomed this progress and expressed its gratitude to the Holy See for its kind availability and support.
